Tips to Become a Good Teacher

Hi Friends,

This is my First Blog!

I have been a teacher since 1993. I have a good name among my colleagues, students, their parents and even their grandparents. They love me, call me and they bless me.

I feel happy that all my students have achieved well, many of them are doctors graduated from the top govt colleges.

So, I thought of sharing some tips of my experience with you.

  1. I stop thinking about my home as soon as I lock the door and I start to imagine about the first period.
  2. As I enter my class, I greet them with enthusiasm “Good Morning Students!”. And immediately, I start to recollect with them, the points that I taught them in the previous class. I keep moving in my class in between the students.
  3. I never let them answer in a chorus. I ask in play way method so that they don't get bored. I attend all the students.
  4. From the beginning itself, I start taking written tests from which, I can easily learn and remember their names as well. I believe calling the students by their names as it is an effective method of teaching. They also feel happy to be called by their names.
  5. I make the complex concepts into stories or consecutive points so that they can learn and memorize easily.
  6. I always keep an eye-to-eye contact with every student. I never ignore anyone.
  7. I repeatedly take tests in different methods, so that the concepts stay in their minds.
  8. I always finish the class by summarizing the whole period.

Thank You!

  8. I'm also a teacher running a coaching Institute... I think the one thing that you missed out was not being biased... If a student is a topper then we should not favor him unnecessarily and if the child is a failure he shouldn't be singled out to make him feel inferior.. I have report cards also so that at the end of term we can revise the topics the kid is weak in... These are some of my humble suggestions and I command a lot of respect amongst my students inspire of not teaching in any school or college..
